The annual SUNYCUAD Conference is just around the corner from June 12-14 in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY. SUNYCUAD supports the State University of New York and advancement professionals at its 64 campuses in the areas of alumni engagement, community outreach, development, public, and government relations, communications, and marketing. The conference is open to any professionals, public or private, who are looking for a low-cost, high-value professional development opportunity to learn and share best practices, build their professional network, and gain the inside track as they return to campus recharged, refocused, and ready to go. In this session members of the SUNYCUAD leadership team will preview this year’s conference, discuss critical issues that the attendees will explore, and reveal this year’s winners for the Awards for Excellence and the Charlton Scholars Awards.

Kerry GothamDirector of Alumni Engagement/Executive Director of the Brockport Alumni Association
Kerry Gotham has 20 years of experience in higher education and advancement, currently serving as director of Alumni Engagement and executive director of the Brockport Alumni Association at The College at Brockport, State University of New York. Previously, he served as the director of Alumni Relations at Nazareth College. Kerry has presented at multiple CASE and SUNYCUAD conferences, the Northeast Annual Giving Conference, and the CASE Summit. He has been recognized as a CASE District II Faculty Star and a Grand Gold winner in the CASE Circle of Excellence awards. Serving in many volunteer capacities for CASE, he was a member of the CASE District II Board, where he served as co-chair of the District II Awards Program and is currently on the faculty for the CASE Summer Institute for Alumni Relations. Having co-chaired the SUNYCUAD Educational Conference in 2015, Kerry is currently president of the SUNYCUAD Board of Directors. Kerry received his M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University and a B.S. in Biology from Nazareth College.
Tim is the director of news and media at SUNY Oswego, leading campus news operations, a range of digital content development and the college’s main social media channels. An award-winning journalist in a previous century, Nekritz’s regular roles include writer, editor, planner, peacemaker, photographer, marketer, matchmaker, video producer, and recruiter. As if that’s not enough fun, he also serves as chief editor of HighEdWeb’s Link journal and teaches a course in media writing at SUNY Oswego. Tim serves on the Board of Directors for SUNYCUAD.
As the Director of Advancement Services and Donor Relations, Ben oversees advancement communications, stewardship events, and impact messages related to philanthropy that reinforce the importance of charitable giving at SUNY Oneonta. Additionally, Ben supervises the advancement services operations which include charitable gift processing and daily maintenance of the institution’s alumni and donor database.
Ben is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and has spent over 10 years working in higher education. He also serves on the SUNYCUAD Board of Directors.
