Despite record growth over the last few months, microblogging service Tumblr is gaining little traction within higher education.

Betsy Soler, community manager for Florida International University, joins the program to talk about how FIU has utilized Tumblr to engage their audience, take part in interactive Q&A, and collect and curate community submitted content.

Both a blogging platform and a social network, many are still unaware of how their college or university could effectively implement Tumblr into their current marketing strategy. Soler and host Seth Odell breakdown the key features of Tumblr and analyze where it does – and doesn’t – fit into our mission.
