Tony Doody

Tony Doody has over 25 years of practical experience and oversight in senior leadership positions within the Higher Education industry in the areas of Facilities Management, New Student Orientation, Recreation, Parent and Family Programs, Leadership and Training, Marketing and Communications, Adult Learning, and Major Events and Programs. He currently serves as the Director of Student Centers at the University of Delaware. Over the last six years, Tony has presented at over thirty universities and national conferences on topics of innovation, digital leadership, technology, and unconventional leadership. He received the Diamond Honoree Award from the ACPA Foundation, the highest honor of the American College Personnel Association, recognizing transformative contributions to the field (2017) and earned NASPA's 2017 Technology Emerging Practice Award. In addition, Tony has worked over 20 years as a consultant in the areas of executive coaching, leadership development, presentation skills, risk-taking, innovation, social media, conflict resolution, and team cohesiveness. Past clients include J&J, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Vistakon, Navigant, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, United Way, Merrill Lynch, Tumi International, and Aventis Pharmaceuticals.


Ed Cabellon

Dr. Ed Cabellon is a senior student affairs leader, internationally recognized as an experienced digital technology educator catalyzing change throughout higher education. With almost twenty years of progressive administrative experience in student affairs areas, Dr. Cabellon currently serves as the Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Bridgewater State University, focusing on strategic student marketing and communication efforts, technology integration, and management of divisional budgets. His recent doctoral research was a ten-year historiography on how student affairs administrators used digital technology, yielding a technology implementation model for education. He also serves as Co-Chair of ACPA’s Presidential Task Force on Digital Technology in Higher Education.

Dr. Cabellon has been recognized by not only national organizations, but by his peers as well. Ed’s website has been named one of the “Top 50 Must Read Higher Education Technology Blogs” by Ed Tech: Focus on Higher Education in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015! Additionally, He was featured in Fast Company’s “Fast Talk” Series and featured on Slideshare; named on the Chronicle of Higher Education’s “2013 Technology Innovators” List; and in 2014, Good Magazine, featured his Social Media for Social Good Pecha Kucha talk from the ACPA 2014 Convention on their site. Most recently, in April of 2015, Dr. Cabellon earned one of College Student Educators International (ACPA)’s top honors as a 2015 Diamond Honoree.


Kat Shanahan

Kat Shanahan specializes in content marketing, branding, and integrated marketing communications. In her current role with learning game studio Filament Games, Kat oversees multiple communication channels and assists with the development of their content marketing strategy. Kat also teaches as an adjunct faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University. Prior to joining Filament Games, Kat served as the Promotions Coordinator for the James R. Connor University Center at UW-Whitewater where she led branding and marketing initiatives and supervised their graphics and marketing department. She has a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and bachelor’s degrees in Multimedia Digital Arts and Advertising from UW-Whitewater.


Hamza Khan

Hamza Khan is an award-winning marketer and entrepreneur. He’s making waves as the co-founder of Splash Effect, a digital agency which helps brands in the education industry to supercharge their marketing & communications. His proven record of success blends experiences from his work in the education and technology startup sectors.

In under two years, Hamza has helped establish Ryerson University – Canada’s leader in innovative, career-focused education – as a national leader in online student engagement. Hamza is also the publisher of Year One, a publication aimed at inspiring and motivating people through periods of personal and professional transition. His most recent venture, SkillsCamp, is a school for the soft skills.

Hamza teaches social media marketing at Seneca College and is a two-time TEDx speaker. He is regularly invited to speak on subjects such as personal branding, productivity, and peak performance. His insights have been featured by 99U, CBC, The Toronto Star, The Globe & Mail, and more. Hamza holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and has previously served as a social media advisor to the Small Business Program at the Rotman School of Management.
