Doug Gapinski talks with Kyle Bowen, Director of Informatics at Purdue University, where he leads a development group focused on creating innovative applications within teaching, learning, and research. Kyle recently led development of Passport, a competency-based learning system that demonstrates academic achievement through customizable badges. Kyle is also the Co-founder and chief technology officer at Skyepack, an ed tech focused on interactive learning. Author of the Exploring Dreamweaver series of books, Kyle has also contributed to, or served as technical director for, more than 20 books within the areas of Web design, development and usability. His work has been featured by TedX, the New York Times, USA Today, CNET, and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
