Whether through GOLD programs or partnerships with student-centered staff, it’s crucial that our most passionate students turn into alumni ambassadors from the start.
In this episode of Advancement Live, Kim Brown speaks with student and young alumni engagement experts from the Purdue Alumni Association and Loyola University Chicago, as well as a strategist from iModules, about fresh ideas for connecting with our most recent graduates – and keeping them interested in their alma maters long after they’ve flipped their tassels.
Kim InfantiKim Infanti enjoys being a connector and finding new ways to foster relationships using social media. She is the Director of Strategic Communications and Digital Engagement in Syracuse University’s Office of Alumni Engagement. Prior to joining the alumni office, Kim oversaw alumni programs in Syracuse University’s Career Services office. One of her proudest accomplishments during that time was creating the @WorkingOrange Twitter handle, a concept that many peer institutions have since modeled.
Olivia is Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at Loyola University Chicago, where she oversees the GOLD Board and Affinity Groups. The GOLD Board aims to enhance the educational, cultural, social and professional lives of LUC alumni from the past ten years. Olivia graduated from St. Norbert College, where she worked in the college’s Admissions Office and discovered her passion for higher education.
Jimmy is Student Program Coordinator at the Purdue Alumni Association. He manages the Purdue Alumni Student Experience (PASE), a paid membership group of approximately 6,200 members. Jimmy created and implemented a new program for seniors on campus that engages approximately 12,000 graduating seniors in social and professional development programs. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in 2009 and a Master of Science from Indiana University in Higher Education and Student Affairs in 2013.
Mirko is Senior Account Manager and Client Consultant at iModules Software. Prior to joining iModules, Mirko worked at Wilkes University as the Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. At iModules, Mirko consults with clients to help them to meet their strategic goals with Encompass. He received his bachelor’s degree from Drew University and his master’s degree at the College of Europe.
