Adam Headshot 1

As Vice President for Enrollment Management, Adam Castro oversees the operations of the Offices of Admission, Marketing, and Student Financial Services. His areas of responsibility include development of recruitment, marketing, admission, and financial aid programs designed to recruit, admit, and retain students at Bloomfield College.

Adam is an active member of numerous organizations, including the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), the ACT New Jersey State Council, NAFSA: Association for International Educators, and the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in New Jersey (AICUNJ).

Adam received his Master’s degree in public administration from Kean University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and media studies from the Rutgers University School of Communication and Library Studies.

“Adam’s enthusiasm paired with his dedication to the institution and students he serves makes him the perfect addition to Higher Ed Live,” says Kate Sigety, The National Association for College Admission Counseling’s manager of communications, content and social media. “College admission isn’t just a career to Adam — it’s his passion. He is well respected in the field and an active NACAC member who truly values collaboration. Adam’s voice and vision contribute to conversations — both digital and personal — that create a positive impact for students, his peers, and the higher education field as a whole.”

Viewers may recognize Adam from his recent episode on The Value of Micro-Scholarships.

Admissions Live focuses on recruitment trends, yield strategies, and hot topics for college admission professionals and partnering high school counselors. Adam and Nicole are recognized thought leaders in higher education and provide insights into the challenges that confront today’s working professionals. They interview practitioners, thought leaders, and others who can provide unique perspectives on issues and trends in an ever-changing industry.

Join Adam for his first episode, FAFSA’s Prior-Prior Year Meets Travel Season, on August 29 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.

Challenges and opportunities for this recruitment cycle abound. In this episode of Admissions Live, Adam will demystify what PPY means for students, parents, and recruiters. Louis Hirsh, chair of NACAC’s Admissions Practices Committee and member of NACAC’s Steering Committee on Admissions Practices, will talk strategies, counseling, and NACAC compliance for upcoming travel season and beyond.
